In celebration of National Women's History Month, She Said. She Led. She Is. partnered with the City of Houston’s Office of Business Opportunity, Tetra Tech and L’Renee & Associates to honor extraordinary women making history as elected officials serving the community, public servants leading government departments and the women who are Board Chairs over prominent entities that impacts the quality of life and economic imprints of the City of Houston.
“While we often recognize great women leaders of our past that helped shape the city we know and love like Kathy Whitmire and Christia Adair, it imperative that we celebrate the extraordinary leaders of today who are making history by serving the City of Houston”, said LaToshia Norwood, Founder of She Said. The Extraordinary Women Making History Awards Reception was held on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Houston City Hall, Legacy Room, 901 Bagby Houston, TX 77002. Greetings from Mayor Turner, followed by a Keynote by Marvalette Hunter, Mayor's Chief of Staff, and recognition of (21) twenty-one City of Houston leaders.
