Veronica R. Douglas, CPPB is the Manager of the Small Business Development Program at Houston Community College where she provides assistance to small businesses by providing workshops, information and support. She has over 15 years of public procurement experience. She holds the Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) and Purchasing Supply Chain Management (PSCM) certifications. She is the President of the Southeast Texas Association of Public Purchasing and a Chapter Ambassador for the Institute for Public Procurement. Her desire to work with minority business enterprises has given her the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors for the Greater Houston Black Chamber. Achievements include being named R.A. Wiltz Minority Business Advocate of the Year, SETAPP Manager of the Year, GPC Minority/Women Business Advocate of the Year, as well as being named twice as one of the Top 50 Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs in Houston.

Oversees the strategic direction of all procurement and contract management activities for the Port of Houston Authority.
